Pundi Wallet supports two types of wallets: Mnemonic Wallet and Multi Party Computation(MPC) Wallet (introduced in ver4.0.0). You can choose to use one or both of the wallets as you like.
Create a MPC Wallet
You will need to grant Pundi Wallet with permissions to access your Apple/Google account.
Pundi Wallet requests permissions to read and compose specific file(s) from your authorized iCloud and Google Drive. The app need to verify the file that stores the encrypted private key backup, so that the app can verify it's you (or "the account") with the second backup stored on your device.
Steps to create a new MPC Wallet:
|
If you're using iOS, you'll see Continue with Apple by default. For Android users, you'll see Continue with Google by default. If you'd like to use the account other than the default, please choose Continue another way. |
- Select “Continue with Apple/Google” on the Welcome page;
- Authorize with your Apple/Google account;
- Set up your Wallet Security Passcode;
- New wallet is successfully created. Now you’re on the My Assets page
Unlike Mnemonic Wallet, MPC Wallet does not give you a memory phrase(or mnemonic phrase). So you don't need to write the memory phrase down and keep it in a safe place. You maintain complete control over the encrypted backup of your MPC wallet’s private key on your cloud account.
Create a Mnemonic Wallet
1. Select "Continue another way" on the Welcome page;
2. Choose "Create Wallet";
3. Set up your Wallet Security Passcode;
4. Enable Face/Touch ID;
5. Backup your wallet. You can choose to back up your wallet recovery phrase at this step or you can skip it for later. We recommend you backup your wallet recovery phrase for enhanced security to protect your assets stored in PUNDI Wallet at your earliest convenience.
6. New wallet is successfully created. Now you are on the My Asset page.
